Paternoster House was Exeter’s first department store. Today it’s home to 29 apartments, Vyve and Søstrene Grene. Next, we’re creating just ten secure storage units beneath it, for the people and businesses of the city centre.
If you’re short on space at home, between moves, or need somewhere for business stock, reserve your unit now. It costs nothing to reserve, your first month is free, and there’s no drive out to an industrial estate.

FAQs
When will NooKo Storage open?
We’re aiming to open before Christmas 2026. We’ll confirm your move-in date at least 30 days before.
Do I pay anything to reserve?
No. Reserving is free. You’ll only pay once you’ve confirmed your unit and moved in, and your first month is free.
How does the free month work?
Reserve by 15 November 2026 and your first month is free when you move in. There’s a minimum stay of three months.
What if you don't go ahead?
Your reservation is cancelled and you owe nothing. You can also cancel your reservation at any time before you move in.
Will my price go up?
Your price is fixed for the first 12 months. After that it rises by no more than 10% a year, and we’ll give you 60 days’ notice.
How will access and security work?
The storage area will be covered by CCTV, with access through a door entry system from 6am to 8pm, seven days a week. You’ll secure your unit with your own padlock, so only you hold the key. We recommend a closed-shackle or disc padlock, as many insurers ask for one.
What can't I store?
For everyone’s safety, you can’t store:
- anything flammable, explosive or hazardous, such as petrol, diesel, gas bottles, paint, solvents, chemicals, fireworks or asbestos
- loose lithium batteries (e-bikes and e-scooters are fine with the battery removed)
- firearms, ammunition or weapons
- anything illegal, stolen or counterfeit, including drugs
- food or anything perishable
- animals or plants
- waste or tyres
- cash, securities or irreplaceable valuables
- anything that leaks, smells or gives off fumes
Units can’t be lived or slept in, or used as a shop or workplace with customers visiting.
Will I need insurance?
Yes. Belongings need to be insured while in storage, and many home contents policies cover this. We’ll explain the options before you sign.
