Originally built in 1962, Concord House was a beacon of modernity, housing Exeter’s first computer and playing a pivotal role in the city’s technological evolution. However, recent challenges, including concerns over cladding safety, led to its closure as social housing.

Now, NooKo is poised to breathe new life into this historic building by refurbishing its 28 existing apartments to a luxurious standard, including six affordable apartments. By addressing the cladding concerns and implementing modern safety measures, NooKo aims to restore Concord House to its former glory while ensuring the safety and comfort of its residents.

Set against the backdrop of Exeter’s urban renewal initiatives, NooKo’s investment in Concord House aligns with the council’s vision for revitalising the area. With plans for pedestrianisation and community development underway, Concord House will breathe new life into South Street.
