[Press Release] Exeter’s Brightest New Property Developers, NooKo, Unveil Their Third Development in the City

NooKo, the ambitious development company behind the Paternoster House restoration, have begun the redevelopment of Concord House and are set to release 28 newly refurbished apartments into the rental market by September 2024.

Exeter, March 2024

NooKo, the dynamic force behind Exeter’s transformative Paternoster House restoration project and the Barnfield Gate development, announces its latest venture: the redevelopment of Concord House on South Street. Originally built in 1962, Concord House was a beacon of modernity, housing Exeter’s first computer and playing a pivotal role in the city’s technological evolution. However, recent challenges, including concerns over cladding safety, led to its closure as social housing.

Now, NooKo is poised to breathe new life into this historic building by refurbishing its 28 existing apartments to a luxurious standard, including six affordable apartments. By addressing the cladding concerns and implementing modern safety measures, NooKo aims to restore Concord House to its former glory while ensuring the safety and comfort of its residents.

Set against the backdrop of Exeter’s urban renewal initiatives, NooKo’s investment in Concord House aligns with the council’s vision for revitalising the area. With plans for pedestrianisation and community development underway, Concord House will breathe new life into South Street.
